Classroom Cash Grants
In 2024, MSGCU awarded more than $45,000 to 62 educators from 54 schools across the Metro Detroit area. Each teacher received a grant up to $750 to help implement innovative learning experiences that foster students’ exploration, independent thinking, and problem solving in the classroom.

The program received 145 applications, up from 137 applications in 2023. Projects garnered more than 117,000 votes from supporters, including students, parents, colleagues, friends, and family during the online voting period. The program provides MSGCU the opportunity to give back to our local communities while deepening relationships with educators.

In 2025, MSGCU will extend the Classroom Cash Grants program in honor of our 70th milestone anniversary. We will provide more than $52,000 to 70 recipients next year to bring their innovative projects to life.
